Thanks for sharing your thoughts from the conference, Bryan. Glad I was able to read it two days before I join in on Sunday's worship. I would love to join Carlos for worship, sometime. Somehow, I 'get' him. Giving it all to Jesus...with no concerns about what others think...YES! Genuine praise/worship like what Carlos displayed may look like an act to some; but, if this is how the Holy Spirit has called him to praise/worship, who has the right to judge that? Now that I’ve quit fighting God on how He’s asked me to praise/worship, I have more freedom and joy than I’ve ever known. It is uncomfortable at times, but I refuse to fight it any longer! The outward expression of praise/worship is putting our faith into ‘action’, which is no different than when the Holy Spirit moves someone to start up a new ministry, or give to a poor person, or adopt, or serve the lost in a third world country. If we are willing vessels, God will use us in the way He needs us to serve.
And, yes! Yes! Yes-to what you wrote..."But singing, typically leads to worship — if you let it. The decision is in the hands of each worshipper." We are free in Christ, so why can't we be free to worship Him in the way that He is calling us to? I pray that my outward expression of adoration during praise/worship time, not only glorifies the ONE who gave it all for me, but also emits a pleasing aroma to those around! May we only care what God thinks and may God cause our eyes to be blind and our ears to be deaf to those who judge. We need to let go and let the Holy Spirit lead us in everything we do-including in our praise and worship. When we do this, we experience more joy and freedom than we can imagine!

Amen, Pastor Jim! My jammies are the first thing calling my name after Sunday lunch out! But it is always a great exhaustion to experience. Sundays are just the best day of the week!

Cotton Eye Joe?? not sure if thats right
These songs are so awesome. Daylen sings them all by heart and with his heart. All my boys love music and having these verses to music has helped us ingrain them into our boys. And the songs help make them more fun for us adults as well. Thank you so much for using Gods gift in such a wonderful way.

Bryan, I think I told you thanks for your encouragements when you wrote this. Trying to catch up on your blog lately~I enjoy reading your and Kaleb's both. Anyway, thanks again. You probably regret writing this now after my issues on Sunday! ;) I gotta remember the fine line between leading and genuinely worshipping~when I do the worshipping too much, I lose focus with the leading! I'll get it right next time. Thanks for your kindness Sunday about it. I look forward to leading with you on Easter!

This guitar solo left a lasting impression and brought me into a deep sense of worship last Sunday. Thank you for giving us the backstory and reminding us of the daily application necessary for true learning.
