Before the end of your life, know what you believe about the other side of death — because when you get there, there’s nothing that can change your belief at that point.
Consider this blog post by Derek Miller, who died last week Tuesday, May 3 at the age of 41 of cancer. This post was written by Derek before he passed away, and posted one day after his death.
What was at the end – I havent gone to a better place, or a worse one. I havent gone anyplace, because Derek doesnt exist anymore. As soon as my body stopped functioning, and the neurons in my brain ceased firing, I made a remarkable transformation: from a living organism to a corpse, like a flower or a mouse that didnt make it through a particularly frosty night. The evidence is clear that once I died, it was over.

Derek believed we simply stop existing.
What about you? What do you believe about life after death?
The Bible says…
Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ… 2 Corinthians 5:6-10
Figuring out our beliefs about life after death is the most important thought process to have today, while we still have the opportunity.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. - Hebrews 9:27
Follow Jesus. He’s the only way (John 14:6).
People who bow down and worship at the feet of the science gods are not really different than any other person who worships at the feet of any other false god.
The theology about life and death that their gods preach is sad. I’m sure that this guy really wishes he could revise his theology now.
